How do you add startup programs in windows defender?
I accidentally deleted most of my startup programs, and there are a few I want back. When I open windows defender to add them back, the only programs that show are the ones that are currently running. I don’t see a button to show any other programs. I tried going directly to one of the programs (it’s a quit meter, it tracks my time since I quit smoking), and I can’t find any way to add it to the startup programs from inside the program, either.
Thanks in advance for your help.
The next time Windows Defender alerts you about the software, on the Action menu in the Alert dialog box, click Always Allow. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Copied straight from the windows help and support files.
Or launch windows defender and select tools – allowed items
