why do my lungs hurt when i smoke?

ok i have officially quit smoking weed, im done, im going to start etting healthy and going to gym but i smoekd for about 5 months, and my lungs never got used to the smoke every time the next day my lungs would be sore and ache and have chest pains. is this normal that m lungs just arent strong and cant handle it? i got chest x rays an everything came back fine do u think my lungs just cant handle smoke?

Everybody body structure or antibody will varry,just because of 5 months smoke you will not get chest pain, and your lung will not go hey.It may due to other reason. Anyway you have quit smoking.If our body condition is like that means ,nobody live in India,because, the air pollution is as such,it is worse than , a cigarette smoke.
