Does anyone have any information on the health effects of smoking specifically pipe tobacco?

I have heard that smoking cigars is less unhealthful than smoking cigarettes and that smoking a pipe is less unhealthful than smoking cigars but I would like to see any studies that back this up. If you know of any would you post the name of the study and the journal in which it can be found.
